A note from our founders

Ann and I founded Ad Idem Search as we saw a need for a different kind of executive search firm. A business that’s not just about filling roles, but about building strong, lasting partnerships. We’re passionate about helping businesses find the right people, and helping people find the right roles.  Fundamentally, candidates frequently share their frustrations with search processes they’ve been in. We’re driven to create a more positive and efficient experience for everyone involved.

We spent a long time thinking about our values and what we want to be known for. Honesty, Integrity and Communication are the foundations we would like to build this business upon.

These words are often used in connection with search and recruitment, but who actually lives by it? In general, not many. It is something we aim to change. We prioritise honesty and integrity, building strong relationships with client but we also want to put the candidate at front and centre of every search we work on by being excellent communicators. How much emphasis does our industry place on financial metrics compared to the candidate’s journey, and how does this impact the overall success rate of job searches? To what extent do we look after and maintain relationships with the person who does not secure the role? Are they not just as important as the ones who do?

We don’t shy away from difficult conversations, and hope to ensure that everyone involved is treated with respect and transparency.

Our aim is not to reinvent the wheel but add a more personal touch to what, for many, is one of the biggest life decisions they make. And for our clients the key to success or failure of their business.
